This man has converted the vesta camera into a deepsky CCD camera !

I wanted to give a very little contribution to this camera, in the simple form on some advices:

# Do the mod yourself, you will be happy of your work ! What you need is soldering tool, and a knife ...
# Desoldering, and soldering and pin lifting is a bit tricky, i used an old board from a broken floppy controller as a training center : it worked very well for me ! I was the king of pin lifting and cable soldering after an hour training and managed the mod first attempt 8-)
# I used a "doctor" knife ( but a little cutter with a NEW blade works good too ), and i use to "saw" beetween the pin and the pad, it work very good.
# Check carefully every work with a multimeter JUST after soldering, the more you wait the more it is difficult to find your mistake !
# It absolutely necessary to work with a magnifier.
# Use some glue to hold cables while soldering.
# Read carefully the pages you can find, and see advices the people are giving.
# Be patient, what you can do in near future is the following picture !

With your vesta MOD1 .. your certainly do a better picture than this firstlight.

The image is not so good because of a major default of the 45° miror, i used a 70/350 refractor for tests.
But the camera works very fine !

If you have bad tracking on your scope, meade DS, ETX ... just put the cam on telephoto lens, i use to track for 30/40 seconds at 135 mm focal lenght piggypacked on a meade DS telescope.

This focal is enough to catch lot of objects M31,M42,M8, ...
